We take great care with regards to food and water. Food is bought fresh the morning of the trek and transported carefully. During treks, water is boiled properly to ensure that all bacteria is killed. Before every trek we check that every guest is healthy and has no serious health problems that could be an issue during the trek.

Are you still running treks and tours?Our priority is the welfare of our staff, guides, orangutans and you. We regularly check and update the current status in Indonesia. The World Health Organisation advises using masks in the community and to use the same precautions to stay healthy. We are open for eco-treks around Landak River and now the Gunung Leuser National Park is officially open, all our treks are available.

Can I enter Indonesia? Do I need to be vaccinated?Yes, international travelers can now enter Indonesia through many of the airports or seaports. They must be fully vaccinated. Visa on Arrival is now available for many nationalities.

Can I get Visa on Arrival?Travellers from 70 nationalities can now obtain a VISA ON ARRIVAL (VoA) Check with on your government website whether your nationality can enter. You have to be fully vaccinated.

What if I happens if my PCR result is positive and I have a trek or tour booked?Contact us as soon as possible. We will be happy to reschedule the trek or tour to another date. If we have had to book accommodation and cannot change the dates, we will re-book at another guesthouse or hotel. You will have to pay the price difference if there is one.

I want to make a booking for the future, but what happens if the coronavirus escalates again?We are still accepting bookings for future dates, with the knowledge that we continually check the current advisory status in Indonesia and will inform you if there are any changes.

What if someone in my group trekking gets sick?If you or any member in your groups shows any signs of the coronavirus symptoms, we will send them back to the village to rest and isolate. We will follow the World Health Organisation advice and guidelines.

What happens if a airline cancels my flight?We do not have any control over an airline's decisions to stop or reduce their flights to a destination or here in Sumatra. You will need to get in touch with the airline provider or agent who booked your flight for more information. If you have a trek or tour already book, contact us directly. We can discuss cancellation or re-schedule.
